A couple of weeks ago this little baby hippo was born. I don’t know the correct…

… English name for this race but if I translate it literally they are dwarf hippos. Anyway, as a baby doesn’t weights more than 5 kilograms at birth the staff at the zoo didn’t know that the mom was pregnant.

Thus this newborn came to the surprise of everyone.

Another nice thing to know about the mom is that her name is Torpedo. Don’t ask me who gave her that name as her shape isn’t really that slender. Probably some sarcasm here?
