Tiny little details are the things that can give your drawing the final touch. If you have a little bit of time under the 3 minutes, I’ll show you in this short video how you can give a more natural look to the tight clothes your characters might wear.
You can find this little details every day and everywhere you are just by observing them. Making a line by line tutorial for the whole drawing would have been out of the scope of this one. But if you wonder how I made the parts of the panties and the shirt here is a fast description:
In this case I used a separate layer for the this pieces of cloth. I knew that they would have transparent parts and the skin color would have to shine through it.
-
I placed a layer called ‘cloth’ above the color layer and beneath the ink layer.
-
Then I made use of the cool selection features of Manga Studio.
-
Then I used a pattern brush called ‘Hatched Grid’ and one called ‘Lace 2’ to create the texture of the clothes. For the sake you can talk about cloth in this case.
-
That was pretty much it.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and I hope to see you back soon here on this blog.
