While I’m creating a drawing for a future post I decided to implement a Suzuki Hayabusa into the background of it. Why a Hayabusa? Just because the name sounds cool and I like the Kanji characters drawn on it. But however, I’m to lazy to draw this motorbike. Who is lazy has to be smart or has to own Manga Studio EX.
First take a look over my shoulder while I use the 2DLT import for the first time and then let me share with you what I don’t like about Manga Studio so far.
As you could see in the video above I had to click on the preview button over and over again to see what the changes would look like once I hit the OK button. After I finally hit the OK button the image of the Hayabusa that was created looked OK but different from what you and I expected after seeing the previews. I don’t know about you but I don’t like this. Preview means What You See Is What You Get to me and not This Is What It Maybe Looks Like After You Hit OK.
However, it may feels like cheating when you create a drawing like that, but on the other hand you can focus on drawing characters. And besides this, if the drawing doesn’t look like you want it to, you still have the possibility to do a great inking job on it. This will also take away part of the cheating.
In the final drawing (not shown in this video) I colored the motorbike and finally blurred it, what makes a pretty cool effect. Of course I took care that the Kanji characters still are visible properly.
Have a nice day cheating, ehemm drawing! Hope to see you next time on my blog.
