Those of you who are making so now and then a self portrait for their blogs or other websites probably know the feeling being to lazy to get the camera out of the bag and mounting it on the tripod. Just yesterday night I had this experience when I was taking the picture for my 100th post. Yes, sometimes the easiest things can ask for a certain amount of discipline.
If this is true for you, can you imagine what it takes to make a self portrait every single day? Not just for a week or a couple of weeks but for 8 years?
When I was browsing the web with stumble-upon last night before I went to bed I came along the website of JK Keller and was amazed. This guy from New York had the discipline to make a self portrait every day during 8 years. The result is this great video:
Living My Life Faster – 8 years of JK’s Daily Photo Project from c71123 on Vimeo.
I can encouraged you to check his website for more interesting stuff. I like this creativity!
Have fun,
Mario
Wow, that made my eyes hurt, but it was great! I loved it when he cut his hair off and then it grew back, the glasses and without glasses, the beard and without beard.
Also, he didn’t seem to age much. Being creative keeps you young, it seems!
It’s great isn’t it? The music wakes you up when you watch it in the middle of the night.
He kind of let himself go at the end there, didn’t he..?
A good video, non the less.
Hi Brit,
Maybe his lifestyle changed over the years.
