If you're new here, you may want to have a look at the pages in the menu above and subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
Due to the amount of visitors and the accompanying traffic the tutorials on the rulers in Manga Studio were restricted to my newsletter readers. As we are on a normal level again I just decided to make the videos and articles public.
In other words: from now on they are no longer password protected (other than you may read in your RSS-feed).
In this short video I want to give you an example how I use the parallel line ruler in Manga Studio in practice. In this example I use it during the inking process of one of the characters of my graphic novel.
I explain every ruler and much more in my tutorials here on this blog.
If you are not yet familiar with the use of layer folders in Manga Studio you can watch the instruction about how to organize them by clicking here.

In todays 9 minute video I show you all the functions you have in Manga Studio EX to change the settings of your perspective ruler. I hope you have fun!
In the case that you just started out creating your first comic or even your first graphic novel, it is worth thinking about the use of thumbnails. You can see the thumbnails as very rough sketches that come even before the first actual first sketch as I explain in this video:
I consider the use of thumbnails in the creation process of my graphic novel Wallstreet Hijack (not yet started at the time of writing this) as a very important thing to do.
The perspective ruler in Manga Studio is a brilliant tool. This is a really time saver if you want to create objects in different perspectives. If you wasn’t impressed by the rulers until now you will be in 7 minutes.
